My Background
I was born at Guildford Hospital and have had the privilege of living in Guildford for most of my life, allowing me to fully enjoy everything Guildford town has to offer. From its picturesque landscapes to its rich heritage, broad shopping scene, and diverse entertainment options, Guildford has always been home to me. Growing up, I frequently enjoyed trips to Odeon cinema, Guildford spectrum and Stoke park with family and friends. Alongside indulging in the variety of restaurants Guildford has to offer, a tradition I continue to this day.

My Career and Experiences
Working in real estate in my hometown has been nothing short of a pleasure. My deep-rooted connection to Guildford shines through in my work, and I take pride in helping others find their place in this remarkable town. Over the course of my career, I’ve successfully facilitated numerous transactions, and it’s incredibly rewarding to watch new tenants and homeowners establish their lives and connections here.

Although Guildford is a bustling town with endless business potential, it also offers an abundance of serene, picturesque spots to unwind. One of my favorite pastimes is walking or running along the town’s scenic routes, from the peaceful River Wey to the breathtaking Surrey Hills—perfect places to relax and recharge after a busy week.

Entertainment
Guildford offers endless entertainment options, making it ideal for both families and individuals seeking fun and adventure. Venues like Guildford Spectrum, Guildford Lido, Stoke Park, Ninja Warrior, and AirHop ensure that weekends are never dull. And the town’s nightlife is equally lively, offering something for everyone. No matter your interests, Guildford has something to offer.

History
Guildford is rich in history, with landmarks that tell the stories of kings, castles, and famous figures. Henry III, King John, and Eleanor of Castile all stayed at Guildford Castle, and it’s said that over 200,000 people contributed a brick to the construction of Guildford Cathedral. Notably, the famed code-breaker Alan Turing, portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game, also lived in Guildford—adding yet another fascinating chapter to the town's historical legacy.

At Pacey Wingent Dickson, we believe Guildford has become even more attractive to home movers since the pandemic. With a growing number of people working from home two to three days a week, Guildford has emerged as an obvious choice for commuters, with travel times to London Waterloo as quick as 35 minutes. We feel this trend has sparked increased demand, particularly among those relocating from London in search of a town that offers an exceptional blend of connectivity, urban vibrancy, rural charm, and access to excellent schools and a prestigious university.

The Guildford rental market is also doing extremely well. With rental prices up year on year it is becoming increasingly desirable to be a landlord in Guildford. A contributing factor to the demand is Guildford university. With it being ranked joint 12th in the UK in the Complete University Guide 2025.

Guildford truly accommodates all property makers, making it a compelling destination for families, professionals, investors and students alike.
